I studied Marine Biology (Undergrad (BSc) and Postgrad (MRes)) at Newcastle University. Interested in threats to the marine environment, I’ve previously looked at tributyltin (TBT) pollution and microplastic pollution; in my PhD I’m currently looking at the impact of invasive species.

To study the role of recreational marinas in facilitating the impacts of invasive non-native species.
- To determine the distribution of Caprella mutica in the greater Clyde estuary.
- To look at the connectivity between populations of Caprella mutica.
- To determine community impacts via interspecific interactions of Caprella mutica.
- To do local/global comparisons of intraspecific behavioural responses of Caprella mutica.
