Before starting my PhD, I graduated in Zoology from The University of St Andrews which included conducting research on nest building behaviour in blue tits. Following my undergraduate degree, I completed a Masters by Research focusing on social information and group anti-predator behaviour in flocks of Eurasian oystercatchers on Eden Estuary. I am a keen birder, and I am currently training to be a bird ringer.
