Raising your Game: Developing Mathematical Modelling Skills

SUPER is delighted to offer this course delivering core skills in model development and numerical implementation in ecological modelling. Run by Dr Dougie Speirs and Prof Mike Heath from the University of Strathclyde, you will leave the course equipped with worked examples and the knowledge to apply these methods to your own research.

The course will be fully residential at the University of Strathclyde’s Ross Priory Conference Centre.

Course features include:

• Highly practical delivery, using the R coding environment.
• Immersive environment with hands-on support to develop your modelling skills.
• Project work involving models from individuals to ecosystems, including examples drawn from real research programmes.
• Encouragement to present your own PhD material for model formulation and computer coding sessions in small groups.
