Anna Hughes

(she/her)

I completed my BSc in Biology at the University of Bristol and my MSc in Marine Systems and Policies at the University of Edinburgh. My MSc dissertation focused on site selection for oyster habitat restoration projects, using surveys and workshops to reach consensus among academics and practitioners. This collaborative project was my first experience of using social science research methods to highlight the importance of human factors in conservation. After graduating, I worked in the charity sector in marine education and engagement roles, re-enforcing my interest in community-led marine conservation.
